Slim Papi is fresh from his 'Châteauneuf-du-Papi Vol. 1' release earlier this year, which received support from Clash, COLORSXSTUDIOS, BBC6 Music, BBC Introducing, Amazon ++. His latest single 'Rod Serling' sees him tap Tiff's Joints label boss / Lunch Money Life guitarist - Poison Zcora for production. Poison Zcora's latest release on Jamz Supernova's Future Bounce have been causing quite a stir with recent support from Giles Peterson, Toms Ravenscroft & Anz to name a few. The result is nothing short of a perfect pairing; a confident, mature and unique offering for rap music from British shores, bridging the worlds of funk, electornica and rap and offering some of the best London music has to offer.

'Rod Serling' sees Slim Paps garnish Zcora's glimmering production with his trademark pop-culture references ("I'm Marcos Valle in a bally sitting at the ballet"), niche food references ("Find me eating takoyaki out in Tokyo"), cold war-era spy techniques ("how you infiltrate the game like cointelpro?") and of course, nods to his favourite grape juices ("Bloody nora, fly the jet plane to Bora Bora, sipping on something cloudy that comes from Georgia") over the top of Zcora's gliding chords held together by a pitch bending bass line that would make Dam-Funk proud.

Rod Serling is the debut single from Slim Papi's 'Châteauneuf-du-Papi Vol. 2' EP which also includes features from US-rapper and Westside Gunn collaborator, Crimeapple as well as production from Sonnyjim and Papi himself.
